What’s the difference between Afternoon Tea and High Tea? Please join the Nova Scotia Region of the Jane Austen Society of North America (JASNA) on Sunday afternoon for a talk by our wonderful Regional Coordinator, Anne Thompson, on the history of Afternoon Tea.
We’re meeting at 2pm in Dartmouth this Sunday, May 26th. If you’re interested in attending, please let me know and I can give you more information and directions. Nova Scotia fans of Jane Austen, I hope you’ll join us for tea and conversation!
If you’re not in Nova Scotia, may I recommend reading Kim Wilson’s book Tea with Jane Austen, while drinking tea from Bingley’s Teas? Perhaps the blend named “Marianne’s Wild Abandon,” or “Compassion for Mrs. Bennet’s Nerves,” depending on your mood.
That sounds just the right thing! Shame it is such a long way from Melbourne!
